Join NYTW and Poetic Theater Productions for Virtual Open Mic Night: Global Edition!

Poetry, theatre, music, + are all invited to join us in connecting across disciplines and geography for our first Virtual Open Mic Night of the 2021/22 season! Despite the challenges of the past year, the NYTW and PTP open mic artist community has grown tenfold via the ability of meeting and performing in the digital space. Performers of all disciplines and from throughout the world have gathered at our monthly Open Mic Nights to sing, laugh, and heal together. As we begin to gather again in-person we honor the value of holding this space for so many artists who otherwise would not be able to join us, and we are thankful to all of you who continue to help us build this virtual sanctuary.

We are also coming together to celebrate the opening of Martyna Majok’s Sanctuary City at New York Theatre Workshop!

We are searching for original music, songs, poetry, spoken word, story-telling, drag, and all forms of performance in response to the theme above. All languages, backgrounds, and identities are welcome! Please note that all performances must be performed live.
