Inspired by the life of Andy Warhol and loosely based on Dante’s Inferno, Cultue of Desire follows Warhol on a fantastic journey through a world obsessed with the accumulation of wealth, fame, and material possessions. Beginning the moment of his attempted assassination, Warhol takes a tour of the early years of America’s consumerist society, encountering numerous icons of Sixties pop culture, including Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Diana Vreeland, and Jacqueline Kennedy as well as famous Warhol cronies like Edie Sedgwick, Ultraviolet, and Henry Geldzahler.
