New York Theatre Workshop’s signature Artist Development Activities, which include our Usual Suspects program for affiliated artists, two play development reading series, short and long-term residencies for individual artists and small theatre companies, and our Emerging Artists of Color Fellowship Program, are supported by the Dramatists’ Guild Fund, the John Golden Fund, the Jerome Foundation, the Adolph and Ruth Schnurmacher Foundation, and Select Equity Group Foundation. In addition, through generous in-kind support, Amtrak assists New York Theatre Workshop with the cost of facilitating a Summer Residency program for new play development at Dartmouth College.

Our Education Initiatives for young people are made possible through the generous encouragement of
Con Edison, the Manhattan Borough President’s Office, the Michael Tuch Foundation, and
the New York State Council for the Arts-Empire State Partnership.

New York Theatre Workshop’s 2009/10 Season, services to artists and educational activities are made possible with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Community Access and Education Initiatives, which enable over 10,000 people annually to experience live theatre at NYTW through discounted and free ticket opportunities for students, seniors, social service organizations, and community centers, are made possible in part through generous support of these elected officials and government agencies:
